Perspective project. I chose to draw perspective over taking a picture of perspective because drawing is something that I find more fun to do. I searched the internet for ideas and I came across this. To change up the idea a little bit I added color to the background. I tried to make the sky look like it was fading from a dark blue to a light blue by using tissue paper. I also used tissue paper for the road. The tissue paper I used for the road was originally white, so I added just a little bit of black to the glue. That is what gave it the grey look. I definitely think adding tissue paper to the background added a lot to the project overall. To me, the dark blue tissue paper at the top of the building helps it pop out. I really like how this turned out and I would love to improve my perspective drawing skills for sure.

Layers project

Repetition project. I thought of this idea after I was looking around my house for supplies. I found these blocks and figured out an idea. I thought it would be cool to cover them in newspaper to have this repeating look of words covering the blocks. I experimented ways on how to stack the blocks after I glued the newspaper to them. It ended up having a pyramid-like look to it. To add more meaning to the project I highlighted my favorite words on the blocks like "strong", "blaming", and "goal". This project is definitely something different than what I'm used to making and I'm happy with the way it turned out!

Pressure project. The first thing that came to my mind when I thought pressure was Ballet. I thought this because Ballet is a lot of pressure on your foot, as well as a lot of pressure to be perfect. I didn't want to use clay again, so instead I used a different process. This process was taking wire and bending it into the shape I wanted it to be in in order to look like a Ballet shoe. I then took newspapers and balled it into certian sizes in certian areas in order for it to look like this. To get the newspaper to stay I wraped it well with tape. Afterwards, I painted it white for a cleaner and better look. After that, I found this color ribbon that was similar to what a Ballet shoe color would look like, it also has the texture of one too! I wraped this around the shoe as well. I took a block of wood and painted it grey so that I could then glue the shoe to it. I don't think I would change anything about this project, I really like how it turned out.

Layers project. I knew for a fact that I wanted to include text into my project. Out of many quotes I came to this one. I liked this quote best because I was able to make a cool tye dye background that related to my quote, plus I really enjoy tye dye. To include layers into this project, instead of cutting out one letter I had to cut out two and layer them on top of each other. It was double the work but in the end it was worth it. To make the letters stand out more I spray painted them white. To get the tye dye background I took a pillow case and cut it open to make it wider in order for the quote to fit. And finally, I hot glued the letters onto the pillow case. I'd say this turned out really well, there's nothing I would change about it!

Relief project. This was a long process to make. Cutting out each flower, stem, petal was a lot of work to do. At first I thought it would turn out really bad, but after it was fired and glazed I'd say that it looks much better than I thought it would be.There were a lot of steps in making this. First, I cut out four even squares. After that I began to sculpt the flowers to look like they did in my life size sketch. After I placed all the flowers and stems where I wanted them, it was ready to be put in the kiln room. It was ready to be glazed by then. I purposly made the background messy like that. I wanted some areas to be a dark blue and some areas that are light blue. For everything else, I just found colors that I thought would look best. I think this turned out really well. The only thing I would change are the squares. Some are not even like the others. Also, I would paint a little neater so that the glaze is solid all around.
